76. Wrong Way; Do Not Enter

“It happened again yesterday,” Stan said.

“What happened?”

“Near our house there is an off-ramp from the freeway. If a person is not careful, he or she can drive down the off-ramp and head the wrong way on the freeway.”

“That is what happened again yesterday. Someone went the wrong way and was killed in a head-on collision.”

“Aren’t there any warning signs?” I asked.

“Oh, yes, there are big ones. They say ‘Wrong Way’ and ‘Do not enter.’ But they are too easily ignored by someone not paying attention.”

Stan continued, “This is the same in life in general, and particularly in my relationship with God. There are warning signs all over the place, but if I choose to ignore them I am definitely heading in the wrong direction. I am in danger.”
